Dubai Chamber Excellence Program (DGEP) Planning & Management

  • To support Dubai Chamber in the DGEP Self-Assessment Function including selection of assessors, provision of appropriate training to assessors, planning the annual assessment, Leading and conducting the assessment in accordance with DGEP requirements, communicating assessment reports and findings to all the departments, support the Departments in developing their action plan and follow-up on the closure of all corrective actions with effective implementation supported by the Excellence coordinators
  • Manage ongoing cooperation with the DGEP program management team to ensure effective integration of the program’s excellence standards and to realize benefits of continuous optimization of Chamber’s performance and services.
  • Support Dubai Chamber in participating in DGEP cycle, manage preparation of Dubai Chamber main submission for DGEP, manage and prepare nominations for individual categories,
  • Prepare Dubai Chamber participation plan for DGEP Award, follow up on the implementation for the plan activities, and make sure of efficient and effective implementation of the plan.

Quality Management System

  • Support Dubai Chamber in maintaining ISO 9001 QMS Certification including the QMS related Documentation, and support external and internal audits and certifications.

Corporate Performance Management

  • Support in the full cycle implementation activities with regards to KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), SLAs (Service Level Agreements), benchmarking with government bodies, and participation to local and international award giving bodies.

Benchmark Management

  • Support department in preparing and facilitating benchmark activities (Inbound and Outbound), developing benchmark reports and recommendations, prepare related corrective action plans, and follow up on closing corrective actions.

Stakeholder Survey Management

  • Support in the full cycle implementation activities with regards to Surveys (DC Surveys and Government Surveys).
  • Support in annual review/update for all Dubai Chamber Survey’s and database.
  • Provides Survey reports and analysis, trends and pro-active recommendations based on in-depth trend analysis.
  • Support department in preparing events and activities surveys, develop survey report and analysis, prepare related corrective action plans.
  • Responsible for creating a framework for periodic reporting and identification for areas of improvement based on surveys outcome, and developing effective and efficient corrective actions.
  • Follow-up on corrective actions related to surveys, and ensure closing of all actions.

Organizational Development

  • Support the development and consolidation in implementation of corporate level OD plans to support transformation of the Chamber’s performance to meet short, medium and long term needs and objectives.
  • Support in coordinating the planning, design and implementation of change management initiatives to ensure organizational readiness for addressing growth requirements of the Chamber, in line with overall mission, vision, and strategic objectives.

Partnership Management

  • Support Dubai Chamber in preparing and facilitating signing MOU’s with partners, manage communications with partners, prepare related documents with concerned departments.
  • Manage existing MOU’s and review the added value from signing MOU’s for Dubai Chamber, develop improvement initiatives to enhance the exiting MOU’s.

Information Security

  • Adherence to the information security policies/processes/program and for reporting any security breaches or incidents to the direct management.

Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures

  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for the continuous improvement of departmental systems, policies, processes and practices considering ‘international leading practices’ to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Provide critical input to support the development of Department’s systems, policies, processes, and procedures to meet business requirements.
  • Ensure team members comply with all Department’s policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Quality, Health, Security, Safety and Environment

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and relevant quality, health, safety, security and environmental procedures and controls across the Department to guarantee employee safety and delivery of high-quality services.

Reporting

  • Ensure that all departmental reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet Dubai requirements, policies and quality standards.

  • Other relevant tasks of the job purpose when, and if required

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or other relevant field. 
  • Certified Internal ISO 9001:2000/2008 Auditor is preferable

Minimum Experience and Skills

  • 3 – 5 years of progressive experience
  • Established knowledge of various aspects of corporate performance management, business process reengineering, quality management systems, etc.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills
  • Ability to influence different levels within the organisation
  • Industry experience in a similar role is preferable
  • Good Knowledge of the EFQM Business Excellence Model or any of the similar Models used in the UAE, e.g. DGEP, DQA, SKEA
  • Proficiency in both Arabic and English
