Job Purpose:
The role holder is responsible for identifying measures to be implemented within the department to facilitate the digitization of the operations carried out and enhance the operational output. The role holder is responsible to investigate and research on the emerging technology for the innovation and automation of IT applications, working towards delivering smart software solutions across the organization
.
Key Accountablilities:
IT Software Support
- Support in identifying and recommending key initiatives that fulfill the strategy and achieve service transformation and automation through technological changes with the aim of enhancing the operational services for the organization.
- Support in coordinating the management and implementation of new software within the organization with the aim of to facilitate digital transformation and enhance the operations carried out.
- Support in monitoring the existing software and applications and conduct periodic updates or maintenance as required to avoid disruption in operations.
- Support the manager in introducing innovative measures by leveraging new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Predictive Analytics and Block chain.
- Support in staying abreast with developments within the information technology space to identify new technologies that can be implemented within the organization facilitating the digital transformation of Dubai Chambers.
- Support in coordinating with the team to design next generation architectures to meet ever-changing business needs.
- Support in conducting research to identify emerging technologies to be implemented within the organization and develop plans to incorporate them.
- Support in collaborating with internal business teams to identify technology gaps and opportunities needed to support the business strategy.
- Support in ensuring adequate training and awareness is provided on the latest technologies/transformation with the aim of educating the involved stakeholders and facilitate acceptance.
Collaboration
- Work closely with DevOps team members in both a strategic manner and in deployment.
- Collaborate with IT stakeholders to make sure the requirements are set first-hand before implementing a test drive.

Information Security
- Adherence to the information security policies/processes/program and for reporting any security breaches or incidents to the direct management.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
- Recommend improvements to departmental procedures, and ensure implementation of policies, procedures, systems and controls covering the assigned areas of responsibility so that all activities meet DC’s standards, compliance, and regulatory requirements, align to business requirements, and increase operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for the continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices considering ‘international leading practices’, in order to increase operational effectiveness.
Quality, Health, Security, Safety and Environment
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and relevant quality, health, safety, security and environmental procedures and controls across the Department to guarantee employee safety and delivery of high-quality services.
Reporting
- Ensure that all reports are prepared timely and accurately, and meet the Department’s requirements, policies and standards.

Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree OR Diploma in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or a relevant field from a recognized university
Minimum Experience and Skills
- 1 – 2 years of experience handling digital operations
- Knowledge of different technologies
- In-depth knowledge in IT software and ability to remain updated on developments in the field
