Job Purpose:
To support in executing the range of activities related to forming and managing Business Groups and Business Councils with focus on strengthening the existing relations, and establishing new relations with government and private partners
.
Key Accountabilities:
Business Relations
- Support in the establishment of new business groups and business councils
- Manage relations and support an assigned portfolio of business groups and business councils
- Assist in promotional activities and in organizing business relations events such as roundtable meetings and other adhoc events and handle all relevant logistical requirements.
- Review all documentation provided by business groups and councils ensuring compliance with Dubai Chambers by-laws and regulations.
- Assist in activities and issues related to business groups that affect the business community in Dubai and identify their needs
- Assist in and support activities related to business councils that aim to encourage international trade between Dubai and other countries.
- Participate in events related to business community and other stakeholders such as annual general meetings (AGMS) and other events
- Assist and undertake activities related to monitoring of business groups and councils activity and activation status, such as permit renewals
- Update management on business groups and councils activation status and structural challenges

Information Security
- Adherence to the information security policies/processes/program and for reporting any security breaches or incidents to the direct management.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
- Manage the development and implementation of Departmental policies, systems, processes and procedures to ensure operational excellence.
- Identify and manage the implementation of improvements to ensure compliance with DC’s standards and regulatory requirements that are aligned to business needs to increase operational effectiveness.
Quality, Health, Security, Safety and Environment
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and relevant quality, health, safety, security and environmental procedures and controls across the Department to guarantee employee safety and delivery of high-quality services.
Change Management
- Oversee the management of change through continuous improvement of departmental systems, processes and practices taking into account global standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.
Reporting
- Ensure that all departmental reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet Dubai requirements, policies and quality standards.

Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or related field
Minimum Experience and Skills
- 1-2 years of Progressive experience in a relevant field
- Strong knowledge in Member Services
- Strong negotiation, customer service, coaching and presentation skills
- Fluent in English and Arabic (reading,spoken and written)
