Job Purpose:

Identify, evaluate, design and implement statistical analyses to create analytic metrics and tools suitable for use in the development of Dubai Chambers’ business strategy and continuous improvement

.

Key Accountabilities

Data Analysis and Reporting

• Build tools to automate data collection.
• Assess the effectiveness of data sources and data-gathering techniques and improve data collection methods.
• Conduct complex data analyses using data analysis tools and converting raw data into meaningful information that helps stakeholders to utilize in enhanced decision making.
• Collect, analyze and share data into custom formatted data reports to help business teams/heads in reviewing and analyzing performance for effective decision making.
• Work with relevant departments and stakeholders across Dubai Chambers to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
• Work with relevant departments across Dubai Chambers on designing, building, and deploying data analysis systems for large data sets.
• Identify emergent trends and opportunities for future client growth and development.
• Create algorithms to extract information from large data sets.
• Develop metrics and prototypes that can be used to drive business decisions.
• Support in the technical design, development, testing and delivery of data analytics solutions.
• Design a system to report inefficiencies and take corrective measures, in coordination with respective department head(s).

Information Security

• Adherence to the information security policies/processes/program and for reporting any security breaches or incidents to the direct management.

Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures

• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for the continuous improvement of departmental systems, policies, processes and practices considering ‘international leading practices’ to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
• Provide critical input to support the development of Department’s systems, policies, processes, and procedures to meet business requirements.
• Ensure team members comply with all Department’s policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Quality, Health, Security, Safety and Environment

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and relevant quality, health, safety, security and environmental procedures and controls across the Department to guarantee employee safety and delivery of high-quality services

Reporting

• Prepare reports in a timely and accurate manner to meet the departmental requirements, policies and standards.

Others

• Other relevant tasks of the job purpose when, and if required

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or quantitative fields (e.g. Statistics, Mathematics, etc.)
• Certifications in BI and/or SQL is preferred

Minimum Experience and Skills

• 3 - 5 years of progressive experience with real data
• Proficiency with statistical analysis tools (e.g. Python ,R, SAS, SPSS)
• Expert at data visualization and presentation (e.g. PowerBI)
• Experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods
• Good experience on Azure cloud area especially on Azure data factory, Azure data bricks and Azure Synapse analytics.
• Hands on experience on Azure Stream analytics job, Azure Functions & Logic Apps.
• Work on Real-Time event driven systems like Confluent cloud Kafka, IOT & Event Hub along with its Azure integration.
• Good experience in Teradata, Oracle-10g, Shell scripting Unix (AIX).
• Experience on Tableau, Power-Bi reporting tools.
• Good experience on Python/SQL/R/Java and Apache Spark (PySpark) is recommended.
• Conceptual knowledge of Data Warehousing.
• Should have knowledge in the complete life cycle of Data warehouse implementations which include Functional/Technical Design, Development - Coding and Testing (Unit Testing, System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing) and Implementation.
• Work on Data warehousing for developing solution to meet end to end business requirements
