Job Purpose:
To develop and run retention and expansion programs, and contribute to DCDE initiatives under the Ecosystem Unit in line with Chambers and Dubai Government objectives, while supporting ecosystem growth by identifying business needs, enabling scalability, and enhancing stakeholder engagement.
Key Accountabilities:
Business Retention & Expansion
- Manage DCDE programs and ensure achieving target of local tech businesses within identified timeline.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize new retention and expansion opportunities for tech businesses aligned with Dubai’s digital economy goals.
- Maintain and grow a pipeline of tech businesses ready to expand locally and internationally.
- Lead engagement with existing businesses to understand needs, address challenges, and ensure long-term retention and expansion.
- Develop recommendations to enhance DCDE programs by leveraging business insights, research, and performance data.
- Provide advisory guidance and mentorship to participating companies to support scalability and competitiveness.
- Coordinate with Dubai Chambers offices and ecosystem partners to support business expansion into international markets.
- Support development of business cases for new retention/expansion initiatives.
Communication, Stakeholder, and Event Management
- Maintain all types of communication with concerned members and stakeholders of the DCDE initiatives / programs, to deliver key messages in a consistent and integrated manner for the achievement of desired impact / objectives, and to ensure adherence to communication plans, standards, and guidelines.
- Build and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders (local, regional & international) to support business growth.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for high-value companies and key accounts within the digital ecosystem.
- Oversee planning and execution of workshops, awareness sessions, and networking events to promote retention & expansion activities.
- Support communication efforts to ensure stakeholders are informed of programs, opportunities, and updates.
Information Security
- Adherence to the information security policies/processes/program and for reporting any security breaches or incidents to the direct management.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for the continuous improvement of departmental systems, policies, processes, and practices considering ‘international leading practices’ to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
- Provide critical input to support the development of department’s systems, policies, processes, and procedures to meet business requirements.
- Ensure team members comply with all department policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Quality, Health, Security, Safety and Environment
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and relevant quality, health, safety, security and environmental procedures and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety and delivery of high-quality services.
Reporting
- Prepare relative reports in a timely and accurate manner to meet the departmental requirements, policies, and standards.
Others
Other relevant tasks of the job purpose when, and if required.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Digital Technology, Economics, or relevant field.
Minimum Experience and Skills
- 4–6 years of progressive experience in business retention, business development, or digital industries.
- Good knowledge of the UAE and regional business environment within the digital space.
- Strong analytical and research capabilities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-management skills.
